So, as the title says, if Alias did return, what would you like to see happen to the series, the people, the storyline. Would you start of with new people? Bring the same people back? Change the environment it's set in? Is there any sort of mission you'd like to see Sydney carry out?
If Alias were to come back successfully, it would need to remove the Syd/Naughn love story element from the show. Alias should be about Sydney as a independent woman who is a self-reliant operative. That idea went out the window once TPTB decided to make Syd reliant on 'Naughn'.
I'd have to agree with you. The whole love relationship thing took away from her being a secret agent. From what I know, agents should be single anyway in case they get caught.
I don't agree with either of you two. I've always had a bit of a thing for a love story in films and tv shows so I'd have to say I'd like to see Sydney and Naughn stay.
I agree with them, The Syd/Vaughn relationship DID kill the show. It put the writers in a corner (to prevent the show from becoming soap opera like) and forced the season 3 twist of him being married. I didn't agree with the twist at the time, but I understood why it had to be done. After Phase One the show started to become the Syd/Vaughn love hour and it hurt the overall flow. If you can be objective just compare the episodes ( Syd/Vaughn centric) before Phase One and the episodes after it.
I agree with you, If Alias is back then I so excited for it. I love this show and I also love Jennifer Garner. I never want Jennifer Garner leave this show. She has done brilliantly this role and without her Alias is uninteresting.
