Beauty and the Beast, the CW Network. I've found out that the CW Network has a re-imagined version of Beauty and the Beast, the 1980s cult-favorite CBS series of the same name. Lo & I used to talk about the gimmick of the lion-like Vincent reciting sensitive poetry to Catherine one minute, and the next minute tearing some bad guy to shreds for hurting her. :clapping: While Catherine was a savvy assistant District attorney in New York City and Vincent was a a lion-like man who lived in a secret underground society led by the patriarch known as "Father" on the CBS version, on the CW version, Catherine is a homicide detective and Vincent is a man who turns into a beast-man when he becomes enraged (not unlike 'The Hulk"). From Wikipedia: The project is described as "a modern-day romantic love story with a procedural twist." The show is the first project that new president Mark Pedowitz developed when he joined the network. The network ordered a pilot of the series in January 2012. The pilot of the show was filmed in Canada from March 22 to April 2, 2012. It was picked up by The CW on May 11, 2012, and is scheduled to premiere this fall during the 2012–13 television season. Kristin Kreuk was cast as the lead role of Catherine Chandler (Beauty) on February 16, 2012, and Jay Ryan was cast in the role of Vincent Koslow (Beast) on March 2, 2012. I'll watch the first few shows for Kristin Kreuk's sake, and see if the plot can hold me. If the show is a dog, it'll disappear fast. On the other hand, the CW has had success with their odd concept supernatural TV series.
Arrow (2012 CW Network TV Series) This is the CW's re-imagination of the Green Arrow character, who was a crime fighting archer in the TV series, Smallville. Oliver Queen/Green Arrow is now played by Stephen Amell. Presumably plotlines and relationships such as Chloe from Smallville are discarded. from Wikipedia: Main cast Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Arrow Colin Donnell as Tommy Merlyn Katie Cassidy as Dinah "Laurel" Lance David Ramsey as John Diggle Willa Holland as Thea Queen Jamey Sheridan as Robert Queen Susanna Thompson as Moira Queen Paul Blackthorne as Detective Quentin Lance Recurring cast Colin Salmon as Walter Steele Darren Shahlavi as Constantine Drakon Jacqueline MacInnes Wood as Sarah Lance Justin Hartley, who played the Oliver Queen/Green Arrow in Smallville has a costarring role new fall TV series, Emily Owens, M.D.
From wikipedia Emily Owens, M.D. (formerly titled First Cut) is an upcoming American medical drama television series created by Jennie Snyder Urman. It was picked up by The CW on May 11, 2012, and is scheduled to premiere this fall on Tuesdays 9:00/8:00c after Hart of Dixie. The series follows the life of Emily Owens (Mamie Gummer), who is a first-year intern at Denver Memorial Hospital, where she realizes that her med-school crush Will Rider (Justin Hartley) and her high school nemesis Cassandra Kopelson (Aja Naomi King) also work. Emily is not only the new kid once again, but real life is also just as awkward as high school. I guess the CW is trying to create their version of Grey's Anatomy. Mamie Gummer as Emily Owens Justin Hartley as Will Collins Aja Naomi King as Cassandra Kopelson Kelly McCreary as Tyra Granger Michael Rady as Micah Ellis Necar Zadegan as Gina Beckett I only recognize Justin Hartley. To have another Doctor Series right after Hart of Dixie may or may not work. It depends on how people will react to Mamie Gummer - she is a daughter of the acclaimed actress Meryl Streep. Will the mother's talent be seen in the daughter?
